At the heart of the Rapido X is Phaetus's Liber™ High-Flow Module, designed to increase the filament's contact area with the melt zone for faster, more consistent melting. The result is a hotend capable of reaching up to 103 mm³/s maximum flow, with Phaetus specifying up to 65 mm³/s stable extrusion for sustained high-speed printing.
A powerful 24V 120W ceramic heater provides rapid heat-up performance, reaching approximately 200°C in 25 seconds and 300°C in 45 seconds. With a maximum operating temperature of 360°C, the Rapido X is equally at home printing everyday materials like PLA, PETG, ABS, and TPU or demanding engineering filaments including nylon, PC, PA-CF/GF, PEI, and PEEK.
Built for Serious Flow
The Rapido X's redesigned melt path and Liber™ technology improve thermal transfer into the filament, allowing significantly more material to be melted without simply making the hotend excessively long. Phaetus rates the Rapido X for printing speeds of up to 1300 mm/s, provided the rest of the printer is capable of supporting those speeds.
Its optimized thermal isolation and cooling architecture also help reduce heat creep during sustained high-flow printing, maintaining a more defined separation between the hot and cold zones.
EndCoat® Gen 2 Wear-Resistant Nozzles
Rapido X includes Phaetus's EndCoat® Gen 2 coated hardened-steel nozzles, designed for improved wear resistance when printing abrasive materials such as carbon-fiber and glass-fiber composites.
The hotend uses a standard M6 / V6-style nozzle interface, giving builders considerably more flexibility when choosing replacement or specialty nozzles. Rapido X includes both 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm EndCoat nozzles.
Designed for DIY Printers
Rapido X is designed with custom printers and high-performance DIY machines in mind, featuring multiple mounting points and a detachable nozzle interface for easier integration.
Important: Rapido X uses a new mounting design and is not directly mounting-compatible with previous Rapido or Rapido 2 hotends. Builders upgrading an existing machine should verify their toolhead or mount supports the Rapido X before ordering.
