Big Warping Problems

My supply of ASA-CF filament ran out and bought this filament. I don't know for sure what the problem is or was, I had been printing with another brand of ASA-CF with no difficulty or warping. When I switched to this one I had huge problems with warping. I tried adhesive to keep it down, but it actually curled up my build plate. I'm talking about heavier/thicker parts specifically, there's some possibility that going from summer temps to fall temps at about the same time could have contributed to it, but quite a bit of this purchase went into the garbage can. Several smaller and thinner parts didn't warp too much, but the thick & heavy parts did a LOT. So I can't swear positively that this filament is awful, but I probably won't take a chance buying it again. I ended up finishing it up using a couple of 3D Printer with heated chambers and adhesive to resurrect the rest of the purchased filament.

Super easy to print

This is the first ASA-CF I've seen available and was anxious to try it. It prints pretty much the same as traditional ASA without any real significant changes required. I upped my bed temperature from 95/100 to 105, that's it. A quick flow calibration and it was ready to go.

Amazing stuff!

I was terrified for some reason of the ASA-CF but print experience couldn’t be better and I really love the colors and surface texture of this filament!!! I am printing it HOT for layer strength on my Trident with a Revo Obxidian. Nozzle at 295 and bed at 104!

This filament is highly abrasive, we strongly recommend printing with Tungsten Carbide Nozzle like the Undertaker

Ambrosia Filament's line of ASA-CF filament is derived from 100% Virgin Grade-A Non-Toxic pellets and long chopped Carbon Fiber. Manufactured to a tighter than standard tolerance (+/- 0.03mm) you'll experience consistent extrusion throughout the spool. Free of additives, this filament prints like butter.

Due to the nature of Carbon Fiber infused filaments, colors created with CF infill are dark and we are unable to produce bright / neon or fluorescent variants.

Feed your Printer the Filament of the Gods.

ASA is the natural successor to ABS and is great for both mechanical, functional or decorative parts. It prints well, with less warping than some other filaments, however it is highly encouraged to use an enclosure. A heated bed is required.ASA filament has high strength, impact and weather resistance (including UV), and can withstand higher temperatures than many common filaments (e.g. PLA/PETG).

Adding chopped Carbon Fiber to ASA increases its stiffness, being both more rigid and offering excellent layer adhesion. Carbon Fiber is both stronger than metal, lighter than plastic, and is heat resistant.

  • Arrives to you in a cardboard box, with filament wound in a cardboard spool, vacuum sealed with a desiccant bag.
  • Derived from 100% Virgin (Grade-A) non-toxic pellets
  • Chopped Carbon Fiber Strands
  • Diameter: 1.75mm (+/-0.03mm)
  • Filament Net Weight: 1KG
  • Spool Weight:

The glue holding the filament spool together is rated for an environment of 70C (158F). If using a filament dryer or require the filament spool by placed in an environment exceeding this temperature, we recommend printing a spool clip (Here).

Filament can absorb moisture easily. To prevent moisture absorption and contamination, the packing of filament should be kept sealed and in an airtight container with desiccant.
