The best ASA ive ever had

I have HATED asa forever, and had no luck no matter what brand or color etc. Somehow this prints just as easy as ABS with no warping in my X1C. Spool is perfect for the AMS's too without getting worn down.

not good. looks nice when you can get it to print

when it prints it looks nice. key phrase is "when it prints". the constant binding and drag, leads to very inconsistent prints. i purchased AMBROSIA ASA Galactic Filament green sparkle and over half the roll is unrunnable due to binding and drag. i have a Voron 2.4 350 and got maybe 3 small prints out of a half roll. changed the tubing no help .setting changes no help .changed the roll to AMBROSIA ASA Filament of the Gods west3d green (no sparkle) and it was like a whole new printer.
in examining the half roll have left. it feels like sandpaper its so rough.maybe i just got a bad roll, but i would not recommend this filament to my worst enemy.

Hello! This is certainly not the experience we expect nor has been widely reported. Please reach out to us so we can issue replacements.

We have also changed our winding to remove the occorance of binding in the spool (it's a matter of a high center that can drag filament to the side). That shouldn't happen.

Thank you for providing you feedback. We'd like you to give it another try, we love this stuff!

Description

Ambrosia Filament's line of ASA Galactic (Sparkle) filament is derived from 100% Virgin Grade-A Non-Toxic pellets. This filament has glitter infused into the filament that results in a beautiful sparkle effect. Manufactured to a tighter than standard tolerance (+/- 0.03mm) you'll experience consistent extrusion throughout the spool.

Want ASA without glitter? We have it here!

ASA is the natural successor to ABS and is great for both mechanical, functional or decorative parts. It prints well, with less warping than some other filaments, however it is highly encouraged to use an enclosure. A heated bed is required. ASA Galactic filament has high strength, impact and weather resistance (including UV), and can withstand higher temperatures than many common filaments (e.g. PLA/PETG).

  • Arrives to you in a cardboard box, with filament wound in a cardboard spool, vacuum sealed with a desiccant bag.
  • Derived from 100% Virgin (Grade-A) non-toxic pellets
  • Diameter: 1.75mm (+/-0.03mm)
  • Filament Net Weight: 1KG
  • Spool Weight:

The glue holding the filament spool together is rated for an environment of 70C (158F). If using a filament dryer or require the filament spool by placed in an environment exceeding this temperature, we recommend printing a spool clip (Here).
