So, I wanted a cheaper alternative to Nylon. This seemed promising. Being the glass is in the core of the filament, it stays smooth to the touch and is supposed to have better layer adhesion.
I also bought a .6mm Conch Plus for my P1S. It took some tuning, but I get some sexy looking prints.
As far as replacing the $95/kg Fiberon PA612_CF... I'll have to get some black, since I only bought 1 orange spool of this. But I think for my needs, the NexABS is awesome.
I'm buying a .4mm Conch Plus along with the black spool. .6mm nozzles can be a pain. My nylon was printed with the BBL, Hardened .4mm nozzle. At .24mm height, they came out soooo good. I hope the NexABS runs just as well.
For the layer adhesion. It is far better than the plain ABS/ASA, that I have.
I wonder though. Is it 25% glass overall? Or 25% mix, in the core? It does seem a bit more "clumpy" compared to Phaetus' ASA-GF10. Clumpy, as in the bumpy texture on the walls.
Notice the weirdness of the top layer too. I have 3 pictures of the same spot. Gradually zoomed in. Some plastic pushed up. Leaving a dead skin looking top layer. Lol
