This OEM direct-drive assembly uses hardened-steel dual gears to grip filament securely and deliver consistent extrusion across everyday materials and demanding engineering filaments, including carbon- and glass-fiber-reinforced polymers. The extruder and filament runout sensor are supplied as an integrated module, making this the recommended replacement when either component requires service—and a much cleaner solution than rebuilding tiny toolhead parts one spring at a time.
