Highly recommend this kit. I worked with the Eddie printer for several years and this is the same quality print. Learning curve is much easier too. Eddie is limited on the size to 4.72w x 4.72L of area. Much smaller than the a1 print bed. And Eddie is limited to height which is less than 2 inches. The biggest plus is that this is still a 3d printer. So any cookier can have an all in one 3d printer for the cutters and the Panda Treat to print on the cookies. Start up is around 400.00 for everything. It's a great deal!
I run Bambu printers and have been thoroughly disappointed having tried a few other “cool plates” including OEM on seemingly simple prints. This one comes out on top by a long shot. I can see why it’s frequently out of stock and will be purchasing a few more to stock all my printers. Thanks West3D!

I'd ding because the included hardware in one of the 2 I bought missed all of the screws, but, no. 5-star. Beautiful product, made with love, grit and determination. Prints wonderfully and with all the melt you could want. I'm happy to have them in my 2 VORONs. And, though this is a product review, West3D always comes through as a top-notch supplier. Can't go wrong here.

So far, these E3D ObXiDian hot ends have been working flawlessly in my Bambu H2D. Literally a simple swap and done. Not sure if it is West3D or E3D that puts a black coded sticker on the hot ends so Bambu can read them, but in my case, there were not necessary. My H2D has no issues reading the purple. Bambu states they do not support any color other than black, but no issues with or without the black stickers. Time will tell on durability of these hot ends, but West3D was awesome.
My order was on the presale... that being what it is my two didnt have any issues reported by others. West wasted no time as soon as they had them they were out the door!

Both of my fans have a loud ~1.6kHz whine that persists with max_power values between 1.0 (20kRPM) and 0.15 (6kRPM). I knew they were going to be loud based on other reviews but had hoped that they would be quieter at lower power.

This filament prints great at 320C nozzle, 80C bed, and under 55C chamber (open air is fine!), I use the same print speeds as ABS/ASA, and give it all the fan you can. After printing you need to anneal it in an air fryer/toaster oven to get the full performance, but then it makes great printer parts that will handle chamber temps better than ABS without creeping. Layer adhesion is amazing.
To keep it dry, you need to dry at ~90C and use molecular sieve instead of regular desiccant, this stuff will pull moisture straight out of the regular stuff.
I've bought these many times and they are great for adding mods to 1515 printer builds after you finish the build and don't want to tear everything down. They also work anywhere else square nuts are called for (toolheads, extruders, etc)
Great price point and works well. Had some minor issues with leaking filament collecting on the heat block making it difficult to use the set screws for heating and thermistor even with the silicone sock installed.
I have used all colors of this in all manner of items from functional parts for my Vorons to toys for the kids.
The filament is exceedingly consistent and has provided me with lots of worry free prints after tuning. If you run it too hot it WILL be glossy, but if you find the sweet spot like we used to do with another gone and badly missed ABS from yesteryear, you get absolutely beautiful parts.
Adhesion has been great for me, but I cannot say it is an issue for me in modern times and with clean plates.
Like ANY ABS material, the bottom of the print will show some minor stress whitening that disappears instantly with a little heat gun action.
I prefer this to the house ASA simply for the look.
The only thing I need is MORE COLOR SELECTION!!! Lets get some UV reactive hot pink etc in here, guys.
While it works well, I'm quite irritated that I was told by bambu that they only approved a black hotend, so this isn't officially approved and the printer won't recognize it.
The quality of the parts and print look really good. I haven't been able to test it as I am in the process of upgrading my ender 3 to e3ng 1.2. This will be the toolhead that will go on that new setup with the ERCF V3 with 8 filamentist. Its looks go so far but I think this toolhead will hopefully make it great. Will up once I have completed the whole build witb pictures.
