As mentioned by someone else, this is too short. routing it behind the filament cutter "works" but you can no longer use the cutter unless you want to rip out the wires.
I purchased three Glacier plates (one each for my Bambu P1S, P2S, and X2D) after hearing excellent things about them. Overall, the build quality is excellent, and the finish is nice.
Unfortunately, my experience with the plates themselves was mixed.
On my P1S, the Glacier performed wonderfully. Adhesion was excellent, even on parts with very small contact areas, and it produced successful print after successful print. It felt like a great match for that printer.
My P2S was a different story. While many prints were successful, I experienced occasional corner lifting on larger parts that simply didn’t occur on the stock textured PEI plate.
The X2D proved to be the most challenging. Using the Cool Plate SuperTack profile, I found the Glacier had a much narrower tuning window than expected. I spent considerable time experimenting with temperatures, nozzle offset, and troubleshooting inconsistent adhesion. Some prints came out beautifully, while others under seemingly identical conditions would warp or lose adhesion. Eventually, I switched the X2D back to the standard textured PEI plate, where those same prints immediately became much more consistent.
I don’t believe the Glacier is a bad product—I actually think it’s a well-made specialty build plate that offers impressive adhesion under the right conditions. However, in my experience it wasn’t a drop-in replacement for the standard textured PEI, and it required more tuning than I was looking for on two of my three printers.
Well, I installed it, it bent a bit and now it's broken. Unfortunately I couldn't even use it once. It sucks.
Picked up this for input shaping on my multiple Voron printers. Very happy with the modularity and the ease of use.
Love this camera, easy to install (just plug the USB port in and enable), and is built for higher chamber temps. I'm using this camera in all of my printers now. Is a little bulkier than some other options though.
High quality PEI sheet. Much thicker (more durable) and better adhesion than the generic PEI sheets this replaced. Very happy with the results!
I run it in a passive chamber, that hits about 50s at 115C bed temp. Bought straight from 3dxtech. Even then, it will warp off the plate if you dont have a good plate and good adhesion helper. Its not an easy filament to dial in, unlike what 3dxtech says in their description. Note theyre not helpful in giving tips for printing, bare minimum info and ive given them this feedback as well. Best results Ive had are using Qidi oem Pei spring steel and nano polymer adhesive, printing 270C and extra wide first layer.
Note West3d is great, no issues with them.
I was in a bind to build a single-board computer for a class project for our additive manufacturing course. I had the board, but to attach my 5-inch touchscreen, I needed the BTT IO2CAN to make this work. I looked everywhere I usually shop, but no luck. Then I found it at West3D, and they were able to get it to me liceity split and saved the day...
I have one for my s1 max very happy to see them here on West3D, I’ve printed pla at 35c Asa at 75c they hold like no other! No glue and do not wash them unless you have too!
This belt tensioner is built like a tank. The design is clean the tool looks and works the way it should and if for some reason the numbers aren’t 100% you can always fine tune it to your desired setting. I’m a new customer to West 3D this being my first purchase but couldn’t be any happier with my product. Keep up the great work guys! I could’ve printed the tool myself but was more than happy to make the purchase when I saw the effort that went into to making this product.
Ambrosia ASA was my first ASA filament I tried in my new Snapmaker U1 with Panda Breath. I had head how hard ASA was to print but I have never had an issue with Ambrosia’s version. No warping or coming off the bed and the print quality comes out even better than PLAs I use. I have been through several spools of Terracotta and now I have ordered other spools in other colors. Highly recommended!
The LDO kit is SO well done. This was my first build, and it really made it a breeze. Be sure to check the LDO specific build notes along with the actual official voron build guide. West3D was also super helpful, initially there was a mistake in there stock (I thought I got the last one turns out some critical part was missing and they had to wait for backfill). They were super helpful and clear in resolving that and I still got my printer parts pretty quickly. Shoutout to Mrs.LeeMarie-West3D from the Discord for quick and awesome support.
Quick shipping was awesome! Love the little touch of a sticker and candy and little personal signing by a staff member, thanks Steph!
I will definitely be coming back to store.
U1 is a great printer and hope they make a pro/plus model with larger size and more tool heads and I’ll buy it from West3d!
I know it had some bugs when it first came out, but I now have 3 of them and they work great. I purchased this one for my Q2 and its been going since I got it and doing fantastic.
Color changes have been perfect. Run out continuation (I know there is a better term for that LOL) has worked a charm. Its only drawback is that it IS a bit noisy. But that doesnt bother me. Its not like its in bed with me. LOL
And of course, the price and fast shipping from West 3D is top notch.
Purchased voron ldo 2.4 rev d. Fun build not to complicated. Item was shipped fast and arrived in good condition with all parts included. Highly recommend especially if you like tinkering with things. It’s a great place to start.
Simple and to the point. Magnetic door works great and it keeps my U1 covered in my garage. The 4kgs of filament that come with it do their job.
These are much cheaper and at minimum equal to or slightly better than the quality of darts I can buy locally at the local big brand store.
Lowers the friction which helps with long filament runs. Too much friction caused jamming in my CFS.
After switching to this tubing I still had some jamming but a lot less. I had to reduce the run length to remove all the jamming issues.
