Cosmic shimmer is a very beautiful and thanks to the transparency the sparkle has not just the advertised shimmer but depth as well. When it catches the light it is just fantastic!
Finally got a chance to use some of the Rainbow Dolos and it printed very well and with a decent speed of color change, going through all the colors in about 120g. Beautiful and smooth prints with default settings.
Usually I print lithophanes with external supports to keep it from tipping. This plate works well enough I can save the material.
I bought this motor specifically for the short wiring harness. Mounted to my toolhead to drive extruder, it works great.
This is a genuine nozzle and worked great on my P2S. The flow is great and the hardened steel has lasted over a thousand hours for me even when printing a moderate amount of abrasive filaments.
I needed some additional heatset inserts for my Micron and these matched exactly what I had. These work great!
This is surprisingly powerful for a filament dryer (which you can tell by the wattage). This does a great job of drying ASA and ABS much more reliably than a normal AMS or cheap dryers. It's also nice to be able to add an additional color to my Bambu.
I got the galaxy blue ASA to print some outdoor signs, and this printed quite nicely with a light sparkle. No trouble printing with generic ASA settings.
Title says it all, the printer itself is great, but the ability to call a local store, ask clarifying questions and then set a pick up date instead of relying on shipping, is an absolute win in my book.
I’ll continue to prioritize my business with West3D
Used when I have two cables, neither of which is quite long enough, and I'm too lazy to make a new cable.
Bought a new heater and hadn't realized until after I ordered the wattage was higher. For safety I ordered this 15a instead of the 10a I had
To me, this stuff is on par with Polymaker ASA as one of the best ASAs out there. I have had no issues with the stuff whatsoever, and the color variety is awesome, and I can't wait for them to add more. Hoping for more orange color variations and a more saturated yellow color, if possible.
More powerful fan than the one that came with the Formbot Voron 2.4R2 kit. It comes with a JST connector so I had to change it to dupont to connect to the breakout board in the stealthburner. No big deal, I have the tools and can do it.
When my QIDI Plus4 hotend went into meltdown from trying to print with wet PETG, ruining the entire hotend, an internet search sent me to West3D, where I could buy the heater and termistor replacement. Both Amazon and QIDI only stock the entire hot end. Since the metal parts are fine, it made little sense replacing everything. West3D came to the rescue.
This replacement unit did the trick. But there was a major problem - the cable is nearly 2 inches too short. You will struggle to install this. It was completely impossible to route the cable like the original, via a clip at the front of the printhead. Instead I had to re-route it on the right side under the filament cutter, and even then, it barely reached. Installed, it works flawlessly but installation was a real pain.
