Top-tier fasteners. The black nickel plating looks slick and prevents that gross rust you get with cheap black oxide screws. Heads are durable and fit drivers perfectly. West3D delivers the goods again!
They call it "Ambrosia" for a reason—this stuff really is the nectar of the maker gods. I slapped a spool of this on my printer, and I swear the machine purred. The layers went down smoother than a greased lightning bolt.
The color pop is fantastic, the flow is consistent, and I haven't seen a clog yet (knock on wood/PLA). If you want your prints to look immortal, this is the filament to grab. 10/10, will definitely sacrifice my wallet to the West3D gods again.
Some of my favorite filament, prints very clean and easy. Didn't take much tuning to get some great prints out of it. I make sure to always order some with all my orders so I don't run out.
Was having issues with the stock 2.4 Z attachment points and the nuts free spinning, being able to just grab this kit and upgrade to a way better Z attachment points was very nice. Well worth the price for the good quality fasteners.
Perfect kit and a must have mod imo. BFI and BZI just look so much better and having these precut pins is very nice.
Needed some new foam to replace the poor quality stuff that came with my Formbot kit. This is geat quality, fast shipping. Highly recommend it.
Little pricey but for peace of mind it didn't bother me. Great quality, well known brand, used it on a Zero G Mercury build along with the switch they recommend!
Excellent kit. LDO's documentation was great. I also opted to grab the functional printed parts and they also were of great quality. I've built a voron 2.4 years ago, and getting this kit was far cheaper than when I self sourced every part. It was also nice having all of the wires pre-crimped as crimping all of the wires myself for my 2.4 was time consuming.
The only part I had issue with was peeling the sticky protective film off of the acrylic panels. Rubbing alcohol at least made it a lot easier.
Was originally worried that since my v2.4 was a Formbot kit that the LDO extrusions would standout but the black Formbot extrusions and Black LDO extrusions are close enough that you can't visually tell from more than a foot away.
The kit is well worth it, easy to build, had everything needed. I would recommend though printing a cutting jig for the for seal so you can have a nice clean seam in the seal.
I would say this is a must have tool. Tuning belts using audio apps on your phone is just blindly guessing, trying to strum the belt and not have it hit other parts of the printer and mess up the reading is torture.
This tool allowing for quick easy readings of the belts has me measuring the tension all the time now just for the **** of it. Takes 30 seconds to check all the belts as a peace of mind that nothing strange is going on.
This is the most convenient way to clear out the filament path all the way to the nozzle bar none. I have used 1.75mm bar stock and a 1.7mm drill bit up until now, which is still pretty finnicky, and the end of the bar stock being flat means it can really pack the clog particles into place in the nozzle if you're not careful.
Having this around has also been useful for all kinds of other things like aligning gears in extruders and poking things that need it.
Buy this *before* your next clog happens, not after!
Using the three AUX ports, I can run tachs on all my toolhead fans, and using the four fan ports, I can run various other fans (exhaust, convection, etc). This is really the easiest way to use 3-wire fans (tach), and one of the only ways to use 4-wire fans.
The RPi is on a module which is readily available (WaveShare RP2040-Zero knockoff), so if it dies, you only need to fix whatever blew it up, and swap a $6 board rather than buy a whole new board, which is awesome. Also, this allows you to update to the RP2350 if you have some need for it.
The only drawback is that because the PWM pin on the 4-pin fan ports use the USB ground, you shouldn't run two or three pin fans on them.
I sent my flashforge back to seller for defects and wanted to return this $63 item. The poor quality seller, West was going to refund $33. Don't buy from this third rate outfit. They are considered legal thieves
