Description
Take your Prusa CORE One series 3D printer to the next level with the official Prusa HT Hotend Upgrade Kit! Designed for high-performance engineering applications, this upgrade increases your printer's maximum nozzle temperature to an impressive 400°C (752°F), unlocking advanced materials such as PPS-CF, PPS-GF, PPA-CF, PEKK-CF, and PPSU.
Whether you're printing functional prototypes, heat-resistant components, or demanding engineering parts, the HT Hotend expands the capabilities of your Prusa CORE One, CORE One+, CORE One L, or CORE One L+ without requiring an entirely new printer.
Key Features
-
Up to 400°C Nozzle Temperature: Print advanced engineering-grade thermoplastics that require significantly higher extrusion temperatures than standard materials.
-
Expanded Material Compatibility: Unlock high-performance filaments including PPS-CF, PPS-GF, PPA-CF, PEKK-CF, and PPSU, ideal for applications requiring exceptional heat resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength.
-
Improved Layer Adhesion: High-temperature printing profiles can improve interlayer bonding in existing materials such as ASA, PA11-CF, and PC Blend Carbon Fiber. Prusa reports improvements of up to 23% in PA11-CF and 18% in ASA.
-
Hardened ObXidian 500 Nozzle: Includes a wear-resistant 0.4 mm E3D ObXidian 500 nozzle, designed to withstand abrasive, fiber-filled engineering filaments.
-
Convenient Hotend Swapping: Easily switch between your standard and high-temperature hotends to accommodate different printing materials without complicated nozzle changes.
-
Official Prusa Upgrade: Developed and tested by Prusa for compatibility with the CORE One printer family, with supported high-temperature profiles in PrusaSlicer.
Unlock Advanced Engineering Materials
The Prusa HT Hotend makes advanced polymer printing more accessible, allowing you to produce strong, functional parts with materials previously associated with specialized industrial 3D printers.
Print with PPS-CF and PPS-GF for demanding applications involving elevated temperatures and chemical exposure, or choose PPA-CF for excellent mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and wear resistance. The increased temperature capability also enables printing with specialty materials like PEKK-CF and PPSU when appropriate printer conditions and material settings are used.
Even familiar engineering materials benefit! Higher-temperature printing profiles can help improve layer bonding and mechanical performance in ASA, polycarbonate blends, and carbon-fiber-reinforced nylons.

Important Notes: Some advanced materials require additional equipment, such as a high-temperature print sheet, filament dry box, and suitable chamber filtration. Actual printability depends on the material and printer's chamber capabilities. The HT Hotend is compatible only with approved ObXidian 500 Standard Flow nozzles and is not compatible with Prusa MMU systems. For PLA, PETG, and flexible filaments, Prusa recommends using the standard hotend configuration.
