Has everything I needed to build and finish, excluding printed parts. Very happy with packaging between extrusions.
Got this to replace my x-axis linear rail. I got the generic rails that came in the formbot kit mixed up and I think the z1 preloaded one got used elsewhere so I was getting some toolhead wobble.
Unfortunately this berserker linear rail did not solve my issues and I am still getting significant toolhead wobble, though maybe slightly less than before.
These would be perfect for the y and z-axes, but I would recommend looking for something with a bit heavier preload for your x-axis.
This stuff is amazing, especially if you print ABS/ASA! I can’t recommend it enough!
So happy I can get this from West3D, as in the past I’ve had to order from EU stores and pay high shipping fees!
Replaced the old board with this and I was back up and running in less than 30m.
I also want to point out that from placing the order to install took less time then the confirmation email from Sovol for a similar part.
I recently added this to my Qidi Plus4 and it has made an incredible difference. I was able to get my 305x305 bed trammed to within 0.2mm across the entire bed. The bed mesh takes seconds to do compared to 3-4 minutes, depending on the size of the print. It is accurate, super fast and just took some tweaking to get configured with the help of a fantastic write-up. It is also able to sense and level my thickest G10 plate, which the stock sensor could NOT do. Overall, I am exceptionally pleased with the product.
West3D was very fast to ship. It arrived promptly with no damage to the package. Also...suckers. What else do you need to say. Always a pleasure ordering from these guys and I will be a repeat customer many times over.
Ordered the kit way early (pre v2). Had the small differences in kit here to follow the v2 assembly. Finished it in time for MRRF this year and my daughter had a total blast. Post MRRF a few small reprints and its back in operation. Wont be doing that with an 'off the shelf' RC. Now thanks to community contributions its time to add some mods to make it a more solid contender next year! Questions? just hit up Sam's discord and they are always a great source for information.
I was deciding between this one and the one from slice and am happy I got this one!
Because of the flycore base this is built on I opted to use a Q2 housing.. The flywheels with the kit needed the 19.8mm mount/housing. Since this was my first flywheel I poked around the creator as well as discord and it went off without a hitch. Love the assembly and the feel of full auto :).
Bought the 116x116 for my Pandora's Box. It works perfectly and heats super quick (~1 degree/sec).
Was especially happy to see that the wiring is offset from center, making it super easy to mount.
BY FAR AMBROSIA HAS THE BEST CHOICES OF FILAMENT IN ASA. GREAT STUFF AND PRINTS CLEAN. THANK YOU...
Been using the plain Tungsten Cabide for a while now, and theyre great. But the AlTiN coated nozzle has been giving me issues. Ive had to declog it every few days, and when I just took a toch to it (not a problem for incoated tungsten carbide), it ruined the coating and now having all sorts of issues with retractions and consistency.
Hello! Thank you for the feedback- that’s certainly not what we like to hear! The new AlTiN coated nozzles should work without those issues! Please reach out to us via email or our discord server and open a support ticket so we can issue a replacement.
Shipped quickly, was a quality part that got me up and running again. Not much more to be said.
Was a 43yr resident in Beaverton. Curious about all techie stores so I popped into this one and really was taken back by what services they provide. I enjoyed a small conversation about their products and services. Even was excited to learn about their in-house filament (Ambrosia) and bought a spool of Pink PLA. Quality of the filament was great. I had no issues thus far.
I only recently received my kit so I've barely begun assembling it. So far, I've found all the required kit components are in the box. The links provided by West3D have led me to information I need to proceed with printing the required 3D-printed parts. The assembly manual is clear. I'm looking forward to getting started with the assembly once the part printing is completed.
I really like Ambrosia ASA filament, in both the regular and the sparkle versions. It prints well, has reliable thickness, and some very nice colors. It's hard to wrong with this stuff.
I like these LDO door kits and they work well, but the door panel sealing strips are too thin for the provided panels. The rubber strips remain loose, the panel vibrates, and the strips fall out. I have these on all three Voron printers and I still recommend the kit.
I used some of these for a small ~130mm bed slinger for funsies. These worked out great and were a lot better than the typical cheap rails I've used before. These may be my new goto rails.
Coming from a generic mic6 plate to a Lightweight Labware plate + edge to edge heater + kinematic mounts, first layer is VERY good. I can't say it's 100% the plate or the mounts or the combo.
I went with the aluminum mounts and it the product is quite nice feeling. The kit came with everything I needed and install was smooth. Bed drops right into place now. The springs seem to allow for the use of TAP without having to get outriggers or the such. For $50, worst case it make me feel better that tacoing is not going to an issue on a 350mm V2.4
Initial feel is nothing special. Applies just fine and the little extra around the edge makes it nice for slight misalignment and trim. It's got an odd "automotive" smell vs the generic ones when heated. I can't pin it down but it's different. It's not a bad smell but just kind of more rubbery. Hold works just fine but I didn't have an issue with my old generic magnet sheet so.
