At West3D we don't mess around with second tier products and lets face it, there's a lot of poorly designed dryers on the market. This is why it took us a long time to decide on a filament drying solution we would support. We purchased a test unit through the original kickstarter campaign and after more than a month of testing, it is here.
This along with the Polymaker PolyDryer (a great single unit dry box and drying unit), will be the first additions to a new product line here. This dryer accepts 4 spools of 1KG filament, has outputs on the sides and top for filament to be fed into your printer. Accuracy is up to 1C (vs. 2 or 5C in many other units), it heats up and dries quickly and stays dry for a good while. But the best part, is it has an auto humidity control function, meaning if the humidity in the box reaches its maximum the dryer will automatically turn on and re-dry the air. This keeps your most picky filaments dry and ready to you whenever you are.
Integrating the PTC heating element and a two-level temperature control safety switch design provides a dual safeguard system.
Plus, The surface of the scroll is equipped with a high-temperature resistant PTFE tubing to prevent issues caused by high-temperature exposure, effectively offsetting the risk of minor spool deformation that can rise rotational disruptions. Our design retains a secure temperature gap that effectively reduces the transmission of heat to the surface of the enclosure.
