This filament has been simple to print with while achieving consistently great results. Just as important for my sculptures, post processing is a breeze compared to many other filaments.
Purchased an E3D Revo kit (Hot and cold side) from #West3D to upgrade a Prusa Mini+. I can say it is an amazing upgrade! Used to have to do cold pulls every few prints to fix flow issues. With this kit, I have been printing day and night for a week (building a Voron V2.4) and it hasn't messed up yet. Prints are smooth and beautiful.
I've purchase 4 rolls of Ambrosia ASA filament so far from #West3D and it is excellent. I am printing on a MK4S and a Mini+ and see little to no stringing, excellent bed adhesion, and no delamination. For small parts, printing outside of an enclosure even works. The colors are very vibrant (KB3D Orange, Galactic Green, and Black printed so far).
After missing a decimal and imprinting my first build plate I ordered 2 from West3D. They are amazing quality and the adhesion has been awesome. Easy to clean. I order both the black and the regular dual sided and really happy with both. West3D has been amazing to order and work with.
After missing a decimal and destroying my first build plate I ordered 2 from West3D. They are amazing quality and the adhesion has awesome. Easy to clean.
Got this installed on my SV08, and I’m very happy with it. Compared to the original gantry it’s practically weightless. The install was fairly straightforward, however, I would recommend double checking your belts for the gantry, and if they need it, replace them at the same time as installing the new gantry.
Love it so far. This buildplate was an instantly noticible upgrade from the stock plate that came with the SV08. I had a hard time getting PLA to stick properly to the SV08 textured plate on a consistent basis but a couple prints in to this plate on the smooth side and it's been night and day difference.
I like that it's double sided for when I want to switch to PETG.
this is nice brick it dose not work long enough to get it printing not that easy to set up and so many lost comms its not funny i would not buy it again
Hello,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with the Beacon Probe. Can you please open a ticket at info@West3d.com I would like to help you out with this. Make sure to include email or order #. Thank you.
Instructions were good. Could be a little more clear on circuit board orientation, but after looking at the pictures mutliple times you can figure out what side to solder the pins onto. Product works as advertised after first assembly with no software tweaks or setup.
A perfect fit to my Voron 2.4 stealthburner tool head. Price is the best of all retailers of Revo HF nozzle and other parts for that matter. West3D has recently become my prime store for my Voron part needs… Thanks West3D…
Ambrosia filament prints like butter and there are so many beautiful colors to choose from. You can't go wrong with any choice.
I used it as a chamber thermistor in all of my builds. It works great and has a nice bit of extra cable to be able to reach the electronics bay
The presets for my QIDI Max3 include a PC-ABS, which was convenient. Tweaked just a bit to the recommendations for 270C / 110C were fine, but eventually backed down to 105C bed temp. Temp tower broke at 250C, which was slightly concerning, but the completed parts are strong when printed at 270-275C. It's a bit shiny for the intended application, but will be useful for others. Wish it came in more colors. Not red or blue, please. So boring.
Extremely nice quality. With your nozzle offset adjusted appropriately, it holds on to ABS, ASA, and PLA like it's never gonna let go until the plate and print comes down to room temperature, then the part comes completely free from the plate. Far more performant than other smooth PEI solutions I have tried in the past, very recommended. I bought the single-sided plate, but if I knew it was gonna be this good, I would've bought the double-sided smooth one! Hah
High flow is a no-brainer upgrade if you already have the Revo system. When hand-feeding filament, I can feel the difference, much less resistance to flow. I was concerned about being able to do cold-pulls. Although cold pulls don't usually result in getting 100% of the material out of the nozzle, fo far I've had no clogs, no issues.
This thing really crumbles easily. I have printed with some other pc cf brands and rarely had the issue. This is the cheapest pc cf that i have printed and you get what you pay for. Even after drying it over night at 75c the results werent great
I’m sorry for the less than ideal results, we double dry these, and now seal in a Mylar bag to ensure it’s dry at first go.
For this material we typically dry these above 80C. Please reach out to support, we’d be happy to send you a free replacement from the new batch.
I screwed it in. Fired up and print and it worked. That's all I could ask for
Had purchased a cheaper diamond nozzle previously and ran into issues with it so got the official E3D version and it works like a charm. I wish it wasn't as expensive as it is, but that isn't West3D fault.
I just started printing with the Ambrosia brand, and the PLA Dolos Titanium has me sold on their brand. Recommended settings from West3D work great and after a minimal PA/EM tune, this stuff is phenomenal. Shimmer goes from almost a teal-ish green to black. Photos definitely do not do it justice.
Printed on Voron 2.4 350 (self-sourced), XOL toolhead with Revo HF 0.4 nozzle.
I wanted to write a review that highlights how great the Nitehawk SB is, just be very careful if you need to work on the toolhead. I bumped my printer and managed to short the pins into the Fan Adapter (user error).
Also the West3D team was awesome about getting me a replacement shipped out super fast.
