Beschreibung
This filament is highly abrasive, we strongly recommend printing with Tungsten Carbide Nozzle like the Undertaker
Ambrosia Filament's line of PET-GF filament is manufactured using 100% Virgin Grade-A PET resin reinforced with chopped Glass Fiber (30%). Manufactured to a tighter-than-standard diameter tolerance (+/- 0.03mm), you'll experience consistent extrusion throughout the spool. Engineered for excellent dimensional stability, rigidity, and dependable mechanical performance, PET-GF is an excellent choice for demanding functional prints.
Feed your Printer the Filament of the Gods.
PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is an engineering thermoplastic known for its strength, chemical resistance, dimensional stability, and resistance to deformation under sustained loads. Unlike PETG, PET offers a different balance of thermal and mechanical properties, making it particularly well suited to functional components and engineering applications.
PET-GF builds on these characteristics by incorporating chopped Glass Fiber, increasing stiffness and dimensional stability while helping reduce shrinkage and warping during printing. The result is a rigid, reliable engineering filament capable of producing precise parts with excellent structural consistency.
PET-GF is an excellent choice for mechanical components, mounting brackets, manufacturing jigs and fixtures, automotive components, electronic housings, 3D printer parts, and other functional applications where rigidity and dimensional accuracy matter.
Its resistance to creep makes it especially useful for parts that need to maintain their shape under continuous mechanical stress. The glass fiber reinforcement also produces an attractive matte surface finish that helps conceal layer lines and gives printed components a professional appearance.
Compared with many traditional engineering filaments, PET-GF offers an appealing balance of mechanical performance, printability, and dimensional stability, making it a practical material for both prototyping and end-use production.
Key Benefits of PET-GF:
-
High Rigidity and Stiffness: Glass fiber reinforcement helps resist bending and deformation in functional components.
-
Excellent Dimensional Stability: Reduced shrinkage and warping help maintain accuracy, even on larger or more complex prints.
-
Creep Resistance: Maintains dimensional integrity under sustained mechanical loads.
-
Heat Resistance: Suitable for engineering applications requiring elevated-temperature performance, subject to the material's tested thermal limits.
-
Chemical Resistance: PET offers resistance to a range of common chemicals, oils, and cleaning agents.
-
Professional Matte Finish: Glass fiber reinforcement creates an attractive surface texture that helps hide layer lines.
-
Functional Versatility: Ideal for jigs, fixtures, brackets, housings, mechanical assemblies, and other demanding applications.

Printing Notes: PET-GF contains abrasive glass fibers and requires a wear-resistant nozzle. Although PET generally absorbs less moisture than many nylon-based engineering materials, proper drying and dry storage remain important for achieving consistent extrusion, surface quality, and mechanical performance.
Storage and Handling
PET-GF is sensitive to moisture during processing. To prevent moisture absorption and contamination, filament should be stored sealed in an airtight container with desiccant when not in use. Drying before printing is recommended for optimal results, especially after extended exposure to ambient humidity.
