This isn't just a standard nozzle; it is a composite "bimetal" nozzle designed specifically to handle the high speeds and abrasive materials that the Centauri Carbon is built for.
Core Design & Benefits
- Brass Body: The bulk of the nozzle is made of brass. This is intentional because brass has excellent thermal conductivity, allowing the nozzle to heat up quickly and maintain a consistent temperature even when printing at high flow rates.
- Hardened Steel Tip/Insert: The very tip of the nozzle—the part that touches the filament—is made of hardened steel. This provides the wear resistance needed to print abrasive filaments like Carbon Fiber (PLA-CF, PETG-CF) and Glass Fiber without the orifice expanding over time.
- High Temperature Rating: Rated for up to 320°C (or 350°C on the Carbon 2), allowing for technical prints like Nylon (PA) and Polycarbonate (PC).
