Used this to replace the 200w pau that came with the formbot micron kit. Gives more room in the electronics area and the power is much cleaner
I have been printing ASA with my modified Troodon 2.0 Pro lately, but with a build plate that wasn't designed for the temperatures it needed. So I upgraded to this plate. My first few test prints were not exactly successful, unless the pieces were small in size. The corners were lifting relatively easily. I did some research, and i had came to the conclusion that I wasn't letting the bed fully acclimate to the temperature before attempting the print. My printer start G-code already waits for the chamber temperatures to reach 40C before starting, but I decided to modify the code to allow the chamber to dwell for an extra 10 minutes after reaching that temperature, and allow to bed sheet to fully heat up. After that change, I was able to print larger prints without issue. Granted, at this point I am still using skirts/ears to keep everything down, but eventually I'll attempt somethings without those and see if they stay stuck. Otherwise, prints pop off super easy after allowing everything to cool. I'm very happy with this sheet and look forward to testing with other materials.
I recommend that this is for new installs mostly, or if you're willing to pull youexisting build apart. It isn't easy to add new components once the system is assembled full. If you're obsessed with having everything in it's place... If you have gridfinity in all of your drawers and a honeycomb wall or something like that. You will LOVE the FT EMS! WEST 3D is my go to for most everything now. Fast shipping and good pricing.
OMG..... Amazing. The old Qidi hot end snapped the nozzle at the heat break. I replaced it with the Phaetus. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
The exact same G-code printed FLAWLESSLY. No strings.... No blobs. PERFECT. I know there was a review that said it didn't "fit" because it was too wide. Not the case, at least anymore. PERFECT. I'll never go back. It also uses the less expensive EMD V6 style nozzles.
I also bought a tungsten carbide .6 nozzle,($35!) but I don't even want to mess with installing it, because it's works SO WELL out of the box with the hardened steel nozzle. If you have a Plus 4... Just swap out the hot end. Well worth it. The color differential in the pics is lighting. I'm impressed.
The picture is of a holder I designed for our outdoor solar powered torches.
This is the Gift card of Gift Cards. Works as it should for one of the top vendors in the industry. Makes a great gift
**EDIT** Changed my review from 1* to 4* because West3D took over and sent me two new rails in place of LDO support which I guess goes completely dark for 2 weeks at Chinese new year. West3D support also promptly got my PIF started after finding out my issue with LDO support, so not entirely sure what happened with my original orders PIF. If you are reading this, I would go with West3d configurator and not the LDO kit even though my first kit from LDO about a year ago had no issues.
LDO support with this kit 1*
West3d support 5*

One of the mgnh9 rails in my kit had the carriage off the rail and ball bearings loose in the bag. After I emailed west3d they put me in contact with ldo support after back and forth for over a week with pics etc. the support staff literally went on vacation, and I haven't heard from them in over a week. I deeply regret ordering the ldo kit and will absolutely no longer order a kit from ldo again. Also I wouldn't order pif parts from west3d coming up on week 3 in a couple days and haven't heard anything about the functional parts I ordered with the kit yet, maybe they are just really backed up on orders?
So I'm knocking a star off because I had a bad outcome, but I'm thinking it's simply the plate working better than my printer.
In short, I used this phenomenal plate for a multi day ASA print on my sovol sv08 and it tore the damn print bed up with the plate. It's nuts. See the pictures. Guess I'm going to upgrade the build plate on the machine sooner rather than later.
West 3d never disappoints with there fast shipping and almost always has what you need in stock
Bought both 16 and 20T pulleys in black. Finish is great and anodized pulleys wear better than raw alu. The 20T 5mm bore fits perfectly on the motor shaft but the 16T's are a bit loose. This can cause a small wobble but I used them on the Z axes so not that important. I've bought 16T before and the fit on the previous ones were better.
The LLL Plus buffer is so much better than the original. Quite and operates as expected. Personally, I didn't like the colors so I reprinted in black with silver accent. You will need M2 & M3 heatsets if you elect to reprint. The feed rate was slow for my installation. Fortunately, Mellow has a nice utility for changing several parameters via USB. Unfortunately, the firmware version in my buffer did not allow updating the speed. That requred using ST's cube programmer to reflash it. Mellow does have reasonable instructions how to upload the latest version. My computer USB port would not work directly with the cube programmer. Mellow's suggests using a USB hub in this case and that worked perfectly. Wound up going from 260mm/m to 480. Would highly recommend!
After many prints and bracketing bed, nozzle, chamber temps & Z-offset, I find this particular garolite bed to be marginal for polycarbonate. PEI with no release agent or adhesive provides the most consistent adhesion for odd geometries with varying bed contact, so far. This garolite bed was supposed to reduce the cleaning and bed prep rituals. Sadly, it did not. This review pertains _only_ to polycarbonate, no other filament types were tested.
LDO's black fasteners are the perfect look for what I'm shooting for with my V2.4 build. Nice to be able to grab some extras.
Got this installed on my V2.4 with an Octopus Pro. Very little modifications needed. I did get the LDO bed as well and it seems they this wire kit and bed are Rev. C from LDO so it is setup to utilize the 2 wago connectors and JST splitter that mount under the bed. Luckily I had some wagos laying around but not the splitter, just wish I would have known before hand. Not knocking the kit, just be aware when ordering this kit.
