These Berserker bearings are amazing. Butter smooth motion with exceptional tolerances. The ABEC9 rating is incredible. It's difficult to find bearings rated that highly anywhere. There are times I'm looking for bearings for other projects and just wish West3d had that size. Great bearings and fair prices.
I bought these for a custom Trident build and after a little lubrication with Super Lube PTFE lubricant they run very smooth. Would highly recommend especially for the price.
Great feet, these fit well on my Trident build. They're a bit shorter than shown in the picture (closer to the LDO feet thickness) but they still work just as well.
Great inlet, fairly straightforward to wire with the help of a multimeter for the switch contacts. The linked fuses fit well and I'd recommend getting two since the inlet has a spot to store an inactive spare fuse in case you need to quickly swap them out.
I happened to want to upgrade from a printed version probe to a CNC version and somehow these guys read my mind. Always adding one to my cart from now on!
I was redesigning both my duct and replacing this fan but this fan is so much better then my old one I am questioning if an improved duct is needed
Got what seems like half of the pieces. Haven't cataloged every missing one, but I can only finish a couple subassemblies, as most are missing Someone between 1 and most of the printed pieces. Print quality is fine.
Ends of the rails are clean and square, carriages are smooth. Preload is accurate. Price is great. Ships from the US. Not much else you could ask for.
It’s able to get to 110c with 2 6010 fans blowing on it eventually but I’d like 135c on occasional and it’s just lacking the wattage for that.
After tramming my trident gantry I got a mesh with a range of 0.004mm. Absolutely lovely.
Near glass like surface finish when combined with NPA. Love the thickness as well
I mostly print ABS on smooth steel plate and this stuff works perfectly. A few drops plus some IPA to thin and spread it out and it’s good for 30-40 prints.
Bought this hat myself and I’m honestly impressed. The quality is solid, the fit is comfortable, and it actually looks good without feeling like cheap merch.
I’ve been wearing it a lot already—both on stream and out—and it’s holding up great. Definitely worth it if you’re thinking about grabbing one.
Printed a toolhead with ABS that ended up melting due to proximity to the build plate. Reprinted the same toolhead with PC-CF from Ambrosia and it has held up no problem long past the amount of time the ABS one handled. Love it!
Every time a West 3D order comes in, it’s a race to see which kid can grab the Caramel Apple Pop from the box. Now I can just buy an extra with every order.
Perfect fit and finish for the Snapmaker U1. Not sure how well it retains heat for more technical filaments, but it did well to keep the interior temp at about 36C when I was printing ABS with a 90C bed. It also dampens fan noise a noticeable amount, and the clear material allowed me to set a simple LED lamp on top for additional illumination.
I purchased this to use while I await the official cover. I could have went with a DIY bin cover, but the price wasn't too bad, and included 4 rolls of 1KG filament. If I end up with another Snapmaker U1, this will probably have a home on it, too.
Downsides might be the lack ofpre-drilled holes for a filament bypass, but the DIY potential is there for that as well as other mods. I've only added a temp & moisture readout so far.
So i ordered this for the P1S the wrong order arrived they shipped the correct item out 1 day later it arrived quicker than the first one did which i was worried about so i installed it right away honestly the customer service was great im not sure if the person i talked to on the phone was the owner but he walked me through the process of getting the correct item shipped out the item has been printing now stop since installed i haven't used any abrasive materials yet but i will soon.. also the install was straight forward just take your time so you dont damage any of the ribbons or boards on your printer that was the hardest part of the install
Looks good and honesty i think it fits better than the stock cover i haven't had it long enough to see if the cooling is better
I've picked these up from here, amazon, and aliexpress so far. Both the others failed in the exact same use case within weeks of being installed, but this one has been chugging away without issue since it went in. The difference to buying here versus other places is you know what you're getting and they stand behind it as well.
Overall pretty impressed with the fans and the service at West
I've been bouncing around a few manufacturers lately and landed on some Ambrosia ASA recently for a few hotend parts. Tried out my first roll, it was smooth as butter with a generic profile, no tuning. Of course I tuned it after that first test print, then promptly purchased way too much of it over the next few weeks.
So far I've only really used 3 colors out of the lineup, but I'm loving the Galactic Super Blue. On the fourth roll now, the color is super consistent, the print quality is exactly what you'd expect from a more premium filament product, and it just prints like a dream.
If you're needing some unique colors in ASA, or any type for that matter, Ambrosia is hard to beat.
I've been told by my wife that if I buy anymore before finishing at least 10kg, she'll have me sleeping outside, but thankfully outside of a minor flow rate difference between 1 of the 3 colors I've used (-0.01), they just print smoothly all of the time, so I should be able to pull that off in no time
