Description

Put high-accuracy 3D scanning in your pocket with the Creality Pika. Designed to make professional-quality 3D capture more portable and approachable, the Pika combines 7-line parallel blue laser scanning, NIR structured light, full-color capture, wireless connectivity, and AI-assisted processing in a compact scanner weighing just 260 grams.

Whether you're reverse engineering a replacement part, digitizing a model, capturing an object for CAD, creating assets for 3D printing, or scanning larger objects and people, the Pika gives you multiple scanning technologies in one remarkably small package. Blue laser mode delivers accuracy of up to 0.03 mm for detailed parts and complex geometry, while NIR structured light provides a larger capture area well suited to everyday objects and body scanning.

Two Scanning Technologies. One Pocket-Sized Scanner.

The Pika's 7 parallel blue laser lines are designed for fine features, mechanical parts, miniatures and detailed surfaces, with resolution adjustable from 0.1–2 mm. Creality rates blue laser scanning at up to 110 FPS when connected to a PC and up to 40 FPS with a compatible mobile device.

Switch to NIR structured light when you need to capture larger objects, people or color information. NIR mode supports 24-bit full-color scanning, up to 0.1 mm accuracy and a working distance extending as far as 1000 mm. A removable IR filter helps maintain more stable scanning in bright environments.

Scan Black and Metallic Parts Without the Usual Hassle

Reflective, dark and metallic surfaces are traditionally among the most difficult objects for optical 3D scanners. Creality specifically designed the Pika's blue laser system to scan many black and metal objects without scanning spray, making it particularly useful for reverse engineering, automotive parts, machine components and functional 3D printing projects.

Portable Enough to Actually Take With You

At only 100 × 60 × 35 mm and 260 g including the battery, Pika feels more like carrying a compact camera than traditional scanning equipment. A built-in 3-inch touchscreen gives you immediate access to scanner settings, status information and scanning feedback without constantly reaching for your computer.

Two included 3,350 mAh removable batteries let you swap batteries instead of stopping to recharge, with Creality rating each battery for up to approximately 70 minutes of use.

Wireless When You Want It. Wired When You Need Maximum Performance.

Pika supports several workflows depending on how and where you're scanning:

  • Wireless mobile scanning directly to compatible iOS and Android devices
  • Wireless PC scanning using Wi-Fi 6
  • Wired USB 3.0 PC scanning for maximum performance and functionality

Unlike several earlier portable Creality scanners, the Pika can connect wirelessly to a smartphone without requiring a separate Wi-Fi bridge or wireless handle.

For detailed engineering work, wired PC mode also enables marker-free blue laser scanning, reducing the need to cover objects in tracking dots before scanning. Marker-free laser functionality is specifically limited to wired PC operation.

From Real Object to Printable Model

Once you've captured your object, CrealityScan turns the point-cloud data into usable 3D geometry. Models can be processed, repaired and exported in common formats including:

STL / OBJ / PLY / ASC

That makes the Pika a natural fit for 3D printing, reverse engineering, CAD reference, digital archiving, product design, cosplay, prototyping and 3D asset creation.

Creality's PC software also provides AI-assisted tools including AI hole filling, body completion and AI retexturing, with the ability to use high-resolution photos from a phone or DSLR to improve surface textures. Creality notes that these AI features are currently available on PC.

Important System Requirements

Pika is not a completely standalone scanner. It connects to a phone, tablet or computer and uses that device's processing power to build and process the scan. Creality therefore recommends relatively modern hardware. Independent testing from CNX Software also found that an underpowered Android device could connect successfully but produced very low scanning performance, while a suitably powerful PC delivered a much smoother experience.

Creality lists minimum mobile requirements of approximately Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 / 8 GB RAM for Android and A15 / 6 GB RAM for iOS. Windows requires a compatible NVIDIA GPU with at least 8 GB of VRAM and 16 GB RAM at minimum. Buyers planning primarily to use Pika from a phone should verify compatibility before purchasing.

Why Choose the Creality Pika?

The Pika occupies an interesting sweet spot between basic consumer structured-light scanners and larger professional blue-laser systems. You get the fine-detail capability of a 0.03 mm blue laser scanner, the flexibility of NIR and color scanning, and wireless operation in a device small enough to carry with you.

For makers in particular, that combination makes the Pika an attractive tool for turning the physical world back into editable digital geometry—scan it, modify it, and print it.

Independent testing also confirms that the Pika's compact camera-like form factor and USB/Wi-Fi workflow translate into a genuinely portable scanning experience rather than simply a smaller desktop scanner.
