Description

Push your Snapmaker U1 harder with the Snapmaker × Phaetus® Liber™ High Flow Hotend, a purpose-built high-flow hotend designed to dramatically increase melting capacity while maintaining consistent extrusion and print quality.

Developed specifically for the Snapmaker U1, the Liber™ combines Phaetus high-flow technology with an integrated, drop-in hotend design. Its split-flow melt channel delivers up to 55 mm³/s of volumetric flow, providing up to an 87% increase in flow capacity compared with the standard U1 hotend. That extra throughput makes the Liber especially useful for large parts, thick walls, high-infill prints, prototypes, and production jobs with long, continuous extrusion paths.

At the business end, a 0.4mm DLC-coated hardened-steel nozzle provides excellent wear resistance and durability. The precision-machined seamless titanium-alloy heat break features an exceptionally smooth internal filament path, helping reduce filament buildup and clogging while maintaining reliable extrusion at higher flow rates.

Key Features

  • Up to 55 mm³/s maximum flow rate for high-speed, high-volume printing

  • Up to 87% higher volumetric flow compared with the standard U1 hotend

  • 0.4mm hardened-steel nozzle with DLC coating for increased hardness and wear resistance

  • Phaetus Liber™ split-flow melt channel improves filament melting efficiency

  • Precision-machined seamless titanium-alloy heat break helps reduce filament drag, residue, and clogging

  • Up to 300°C printing temperature for compatibility with a wide range of standard and engineering filaments

  • Designed specifically for the Snapmaker U1

  • Complete integrated hotend assembly for straightforward replacement

Built for Big, Fast Prints

High-flow hotends shine when the printer can maintain speed for extended periods, and that is exactly where the Liber™ is designed to perform. Large models, long perimeters, broad infill sections, thicker extrusion widths, and batch-production parts can take advantage of the increased melt capacity to reduce print times without starving the nozzle of molten filament.

For highly detailed models with frequent direction changes, small features, or complex curves, acceleration and motion limits may become the bottleneck before maximum hotend flow is reached.

Filament Compatibility

The Liber™ High Flow Hotend supports commonly used materials including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA/Nylon, PC, PVA, support materials, and other engineering filaments within its temperature range.

Important: Snapmaker and Phaetus do not recommend high-flow printing with carbon-fiber or glass-fiber reinforced filaments, wood-filled PLA, or TPU, as these materials may experience feeding or clogging issues with the Liber™ high-flow melt path.

When switching from higher-temperature materials such as ABS, ASA, PA, or PC to lower-temperature materials such as PLA or PETG, a cold pull is recommended to remove remaining material from the hotend.
