After doing some research on the Beacon, I decided to pick one up from West 3D. I was mainly interested in this probe for the fast, pre-print meshes. Got it connected and went through the initial calibration from beacon's web site. At first, I was not impressed. I was coming from a Chaotic Lab CNC Tap v2 for my Voron 2.4. I could not get the first layers correct. After playing around with the settings and actually understanding how the Beacon probe works, compared to Tap, all I can say is I wish I would have done this sooner! This probe is hands down remarkable. I mainly print ABS/ASA filaments and the Beacon handles the temps just fine. The contact feature in the RevH is fantastic. It's very light touch compared to Tap and I use it for the initial calibration before prints. QGL is done via proximity. The values given for QGL are consistently lower than that of my Tap. Meshes on large prints are so much faster. If you are concidering one of these, get it!
Purchased this to run PA6-CF filament and it so far so good. Was skeptical that I'd need it over hardened steel. BUT! The higher thermal conductivity and hardness gives you the best of both brass and and steel. West3D providing phenomenal service as usual. Glad they have these nozzles as they're not commonly available everywhere!
I’m not a fan of hot sauces usually, but this stuff is great! Definitely worth a try if you’ve never had it.
It’s exactly what it says it is and it does exactly what it’s supposed to. Fast shipping, and well thought out. Only complaint with the enclosure kit was that one of the 3d printed parts for the drag chain broke during installation, but was easy enough to fix.
Complete kit, with easily followable instructions. Went together in a reasonable amount of time, and works well.
Everything has been high quality with no issues. Saves huge amount of time if sourcing yourself.
This should be part of the Voron 0.2 builds kits! It provides a significant noise reduction, and the ability to remove the doors (for printing PLA/PETG or working inside the build area). Also, the door makes the print viewing from the front much nicer. The color match of the blue anodizing closely matches my currently LDO 1515 extrusions (not perfect but that is to be expected with aluminum anodizing).
I'm giving this 4/5 stars because no instructions are provided in the github and the video off this page is not really usable for building it. It's not really difficult, but having to figure it out as I did it slowed me down. Also, no nuts were included in my kit. I had some available from my original LDO kit, but that would be needed to purchase if you don't have them already.
I would buy again.
West3d didn't have black Clicky-Clack Fridge Door Kit in stock. So, I was forced to acquire it from another site, but that site wanted to charge 3x for the acrylic panel. I ordered the panel from here and it fit perfectly (with the gasket included in the other kit).
Also, if you are on the fence about the Clicky-Clack Fridge Door mod, it's 100% worth it. I've done it on both of my Vorons and it has made me so happy, Significant noise reduction, and the ability to remove the doors (for printing PLA/PETG or working inside the build area).
This board is exactly the width of a 2020 aluminum extrusion (with mounting holes in the t-slots). So, it is perfect to hide under the print bed and be a quick connector for the bed fans and Nevermore, with the ability to run them at different speeds if so desired (via the jumpers and a second cable).
Its been plug and play since I've been using it - I have been through a few spools of it so far and it doesn't disappoint. the surface finish is really nice and the layer adhesion is strong. - I stopped looking at other filaments once I tried Ambrosia ASA
If you are looking into stepping up your Hueforge prints, then this tool is necessary! West 3D made some great quality products! This was my first time putting something like this together and having the products well packaged and separated by workflow, made the process of putting my TD-1 much simpler.
I have just recently got a 3d printer, month ago for the first one and 2 weeks ago for my 2nd, and I stumbled on Hueforges. It has become something everyone wants. I mainly use Elegoo PLA and couldn't really find any TD values around, but I saw someone on a reddit post say they got one of these. So I did some searching. I have never soldered anything in my life but I gave this a shot. The instructions were spot on! The display was my first thing ever soldering and it wasn't pretty but it will do. By the end, I was proud of myself with the way the solder joints looked. I was even more amazed when I plugged it into my PC it turned right on and connected. So from a noob who has never attempted something like this before, this kit is amazing. 100% worth the purchase, I have even started to catalog my filaments. Only have 30+ more to go lol.
Works well for ASA/ABS, PETG, TPU so far. Haven't changed any bed temps, but I do always let the chamber come up to temp.
I hit the surface with some sandpaper to provide slightly better adhesion for ASA, which allows printing without brims.
Good stuff.
Wife no longer complains about the odor as I keep my voron 0.2 in the kitchen during the winter months. No more bad odors when printing abs and I was surprised by the result. will definitely. buy again.
Some of the best printing material I've ever used, and at 0.16mm layer height, prints feel SOFT. Made for perfect handles, absolutely love it.
With 1515 extrusion you have very limited choice for fasteners, and printed widgets holding m2 nuts is a choice, but not a very fun one. These are so much more straightforward and ensure that your rails will be properly mounted
All the parts are individually bagged and labeled, making this a great timesaver. I usually prefer to bulk buy everything on excessive quantities, but sometimes you just don't want to add more drawers to the parts bins.
Super comfy hoodie. Gildan blank, look good and rep your favorite supplier all at the same time!
Right out of the box easy to assemble. After calibration prints. I was able to do a 18 hour print with 0 issues. I have since done some upgrades and changes to the machine. All of which seem to make it run even better. A+ to West3D for the fast shipping!
Wow, if you want to make sure adhesion works. This plate will do the trick. Suggest you lay down a light bit of glue stick. Or you may never get your part off the plate. I love it saves me a ton of wasted filament. When almost down printing a big project when the part moves on the plate. Won’t happen with this plate.
